What's new in version 7

Version 7 adds some exciting new features to the Fax Voip T38 Fax & Voice software. Some of the great improvements in version 7 include:

7.5.1

  • Sending audio messages via Fax Voip built-in lines and Fax Voip Console. Fax Voip Send Audio Message Wizard.
  • SendAudio.exe command line utility. This tool allows you to automatically create audio message job and can be used in different scenarios, such as creating a large number of outgoing audio messages, as well as by software developers in their applications.
  • Mail To Audio function based on using built-in lines (similar to Mail to Fax). E-mail notifications, Delivery Receipts via e-mail, Email Templates.
  • Fixed possible crashes in the Fax Voip Console when using modern Ribbon interface.
  • Added instructions on how to fix Unimodem Audio Device problem on Windows 10 (voice modem functions via TAPI). FixModemOnWin10.exe tool.
  • Some other improvements.

  • Ribbon user interface based on Windows Ribbon Framework is implemented in the Fax Voip Console. Old-style interface is still maintained for backward compatibility.
  • An auxiliary mechanism to forcibly restore SIP Registration implemented. Can be helpful in the case of unstable registration.
  • Possibility to manually start or stop SIP Registration using Fax Voip Control Panel. Can be used for testing, as well as for manual restoring of SIP registration in the case of losing.
  • New styles applied for better compatibility with Windows 10. New set of icons. Rich tooltips in the tree view (both icon and text).
  • Some other improvements.

  • Implemented workaround that allows to pass Called Number (DID) to standard fax application (e.g. Microsoft Fax) using Caller ID string.
  • Route through e-mail Incoming Routing Method (using Microsoft Fax) implemented. Routing incoming faxes depending on both Called Number (DID) and Caller ID. Sending e-mail to multiple recipients including using Cc and Bcc boxes. Possibility to select fax delivery format: TIFF, PDF or SFF.
  • Store in a folder Incoming Routing Method (using Microsoft Fax) implemented. Routing incoming faxes depending on both Called Number (DID) and Caller ID. Saving incoming fax into multiple folders. Possibility to select fax saving format: TIFF, PDF or SFF.
  • Print Incoming Routing Method (using Microsoft Fax) implemented. Routing incoming faxes depending on both Called Number (DID) and Caller ID. Possibility to print incoming fax to multiple printers.
  • The Fax Voip Extended Incoming Routing (E-mail, Store in Folder, Print, Fax-on-Demand) license can now be combined with Virtual COM Ports (modems) license and allows to increase number of available rules when using Incoming Routing Methods (Microsoft Fax).
  • CertMgr.exe tool removed from the installation package. All procedures using this tool are replaced with similar .Net Framework functions.
  • Some other improvements.

  • Multi-Language support added.Simple mechanism for translation into any language.
  • Possibility to customize Email Templates (used with Mail To Fax, Fax To Mail and new Delivery Receipts functions).
  • Delivery Receipts via e-mail function implemented (with both built-in lines and Microsoft Fax). This new feature is independent from the e-mail notifications when using Mail to Fax. A copy of the sent fax can be attached in TIF, PDF or SFF format. Multiple e-mail recipients can be specified using To, CC and BCC fields. In the case of built-in lines default settings can be overridden when sending a fax using Fax Voip Send Fax Wizard or sendfax.exe utility.
  • Possibility to disable delivery notifications to user email address when using Mail To Fax. A copy of the sent fax now can be attached in TIF, PDF or SFF format.
  • Added possibility not to attach received fax when using Route through e-mail method with built-in lines.
  • Possibility to specify multiple e-mail addresses with Fax To Mail based on using Microsoft Fax function.
  • Address Book (Windows Contacts) support implemented. Possibility to select fax and e-mail recipients from Address Book.
  • Fixed bug in the Outgoing VOIP Call Routing rule constructor.

  • Fixed various problems with printing under System user account on Windows Server 2012/2012R2. Fixed problems with printing standard Text Document (*.txt) files under System user account on Windows 8/8.1 and Windows Server 2012/2012R2 using Repair printto verbs function. On all systems, this function adjusts the correct file associations for the current user.
  • Added instructions on how to manually fix file associations on Windows 10.
  • Improved protection system. Short license keys.
  • New license policy.
  • Duplicate chapters removed in the user manual.
  • Added Themes button in the HTML Help window, when started from the Fax Voip application.

Trial versions of Fax Voip software do not qualify as an eligible product. How to upgrade to version 7 and save 50%

To upgrade your current license, do the following:

1. Download and install the latest Fax Voip version.

2. Open Fax Voip Control Panel. To do this click Start, point to All Programs, point to Fax Voip T38 Fax & Voice; click Fax Voip Control Panel.

3. Click License in TreeView.

4. The Licenses pane shows all the licenses that are valid for previous versions of Fax Voip. The <Upgrade> button should be visible and available. 5. Click <Upgrade>. You will be redirected to the payment page, where you can pay for the upgrade of your current license. 

6. After doing payment, in the Fax Voip Control Panel click License in TreeView, then click <Register>.

7. In the Fax Voip Licensing window, in the To upgrade your License section click Click to show additional verification codes link.

8. Copy and paste the following information into your document (e-mail):

  • SystemID (-FV7 at the end)
  • Verification code #1 (-FV71 at the end)
  • Verification code #2 (-FV72 at the end, if only displayed)

The SystemID is required to generate your license key. Verification codes are required to verify that the Fax Voip really running on the computer for which you have valid license for previous versions of Fax Voip.

 10. After receiving the new license key follow the instructions that you can find in the e-mail with license key.

 

Notes 

  • The upgrade version of Fax Voip 7 will check your hard drive to verify that you are a licensed user of a qualifying Fax Voip software product. Trial versions of Fax Voip software do not qualify as an eligible product. You will be unable to install the Fax Voip 7 upgrade if you do not have valid Fax Voip license already installed.
  • You can only upgrade an existing license (the same number of Virtual COM Ports, built-in lines and Incoming Routing rules). If you need additional Virtual COM Ports, built-in lines or Incoming Routing rules you can buy them separately.
  • License upgrade does not involve transfer of license to another computer and should be done on the computer where Fax Voip has been licensed previously.
  • The discount provided in case of upgrade depends on the current policy of Fax Voip Software and can be changed after some time.
