When saving a fax into TIFF format, you can select type of TIFF compression. Fax Voip Softphone can convert faxes into TIFF using the following TIFF compression formats:
You can also use Convert to standard resolution (204*196 dpi) graphics option when saving TIFF files originally created with resolution 204*98 dpi. This can be useful, as some viewers may incorrectly display TIFF files in draft quality (204*98 dpi).
To do additional settings, follow the instructions below:
1. Open your Log Book.
2. In the Log Book, open the Received Faxes folder or Sent Faxes folder.
3. In the details pane, right-click the fax, and then click Save As.
4. In the Save As... dialog, in the Save as type: field, select Faxes(*.tif) as the format to which you want to convert the document. Then specify a file name (by default the unique file name generated by the program is used).
5. Uncheck the Use original TIFF format option, then click Settings button.
6. In the TIFF properties dialog, in the Compression format pane, select the desired format of TIFF compression. You can select between the following options: PACKBITS, CCITTFAX3, CCITTFAX4, LZW or NO COMPRESSION.
7. Check Convert to standard resolution (204x196 dpi) graphics option if you want to save your TIFF in the 204x196 dpi resolution.
8. Click OK to save settings.
9. When you make all necessary settings, in the Save As... dialog, click Save button.
