To open Received Faxes folder, in your Log Book in the treeview click Fax and then click Received Faxes.
The Received Faxes folder stores all received faxes.
Received faxes can be easily viewed in the Preview Panel. You can navigate between the fax pages using the navigation buttons located at the bottom of the Preview Panel.
To view the selected fax using image viewer software, double-click it. Depending on the Fax Voip Softphone settings, received faxes can be stored in the TIFF, PDF or SFF format. Faxes that stored in the TIFF format can be viewed in the Windows Photo Viewer. Faxes received as PDF files can be viewed in the Adobe Acrobat Reader program. To view faxes received in the SFF format, you can install and use IrfanView software.
You can view the properties of the selected fax by clicking Properties in the File menu. Properties of each fax are also displayed in the Received Faxes details pane. Information that can be displayed in the details pane are:
- Icon. TIFF, PDF or SFF icon, depending on the format in which the received fax is saved. The red arrow indicates that the fax reception is not successful.
- Start Time. The time when fax reception started.
- Duration. The duration of the fax transmission.
- Caller Number. The telephone number of the caller.
- Status. Operation completion code. In the case of a failed fax reception contains the error description.
- Pages. Here the number of delivered pages for received faxes is displayed.
- Rate. Transmission rate. The 'e' attribute is used to indicate Error Correction Mode (ECM).
- Resolution. This field contains the resolution information for received faxes: Normal for 204 x 98 dots per inch (dpi), Fine for 204 x 196 dpi.
- T.38. Fax protocol information: T.38 or G.711 for audio faxes (Fax over G.711 codec).
- Remote Fax ID. The Transmitting Subscriber ID (TSID) received from the fax sender.
- Local Fax ID. The Called Subscriber ID (CSID) that identifies you as a fax recipient, sent to the fax sender.
- Called Number. The telephone number of the called party.
- Calling Party. SIP or H.323 address of the caller.
- Called Party. SIP or H.323 address of the called party.
- Attributes. Type of entry (fax in).
- File. The full path to the fax file.
- Call Token. The unique identifier of the phone call associated with the fax.
- Item ID. The unique number of the entry in the database.
The Status column contains additional information about the results of fax reception. Possible completion codes include:
- OK. Successfully received fax.
- The call dropped prematurely. This error usually occurs when connection dropped during a fax transmission.
Note that the fax application may provide the extended completion codes. The error generated by the fax application usually points to the specific problem that occurred when receiving a fax.
