Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) Settings
To enable or disable Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio)
Send faxes and audio messages from e-mail
This option allows you to enable or disable Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) functionality. Check this checkbox, if you want to send faxes and audio messages from e-mail. If Fax Voip T.38 Console is configured As Windows Service, administrator privileges are required to change this option.
By default, the Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) function is available for any e-mail address. However, you can allow or deny the use of this function for one, several, or all e-mail addresses by using Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) Rules. See also in the General Settings (Mail to Fax/Audio Rule) chapter of this user manual.
E-mail attachment types
The options below can be overridden in the Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) Rules, see in the Attachments Settings (Mail to Fax/Audio Rule) chapter of this user manual.
If this option is selected, Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) will accept e-mails with any attachments. Please note that this in no way guarantees that your attachment will be correctly converted into a fax or audio message and sent to the recipient. See also in the E-mail attachments chapter of this user manual.
If this option is selected, Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) will only accept e-mail attachments with specified file extensions. Enter the file extensions in the text box on the right. The file extensions should be separated by a semicolon. Example: .TIF;.PDF;.TXT;.WAV.
Fax options
The options below can be overridden in the Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) Rules, see in the Fax Settings (Mail to Fax/Audio Rule) chapter of this user manual.
Fax Mode
Specify the fax mode to be used when sending the fax generated by the Mail to Fax function. Select T.38 (auto) if you want to send faxes with T.38 support. Select audio if you want to send faxes as audio (fax over G.711 codec). Select isdn if you want to send faxes via ISDN CAPI 2.0 line. This option overrides the default Fax Mode, specified in the Fax Settings.
Use default
To change Fax Mode, uncheck this option. If this option is checked, the default Fax Mode is used.
Fax Station ID
Fax Station ID to be used when sending the fax generated by the Mail to Fax function. It is transmitted to the recipient when an outgoing fax is sent, and it may appear in the display of the recipient's fax machine. The Fax Station ID is transmitted at the top of each faxed page. Usually consists of the sender's fax number and business name. The Fax Station ID is limited to 20 characters. This option overrides the default Fax Station ID, specified in the Fax Settings or in the Outgoing VOIP Call Routing settings.
Use default
To change Fax Station Id, uncheck this option. If this option is checked, the default Fax Station Id is used.
Fax HeadLine
Fax HeadLine to be used when sending the fax generated by the Mail to Fax function. It is transmitted at the top of each faxed page. The Fax HeadLine is limited to 50 characters. This option overrides the default Fax HeadLine, specified in the Fax Settings or in the Outgoing VOIP Call Routing settings.
Use default
To change Fax HeadLine, uncheck this option. If this option is checked, the default Fax HeadLine is used.
Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) Service
Indicates how the Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) subsystem is started (Application or Windows Service). In the case of service, the name of the account under which the Fax Voip T.38 Console Mail service is started is also displayed.
Status
Indicates if mail subsystem (Fax Voip T.38 Console Mail service) is running.
Click to configure services
Click to switch to the Options and Logs page where you can configure whether to run Fax Voip T.38 Console as Windows service or not, and also specify the user account under which mail service should be started.
