Send a Fax using Direct Converting

Direct Converting to Fax feature allows to convert some of the most popular graphics file formats into compatible fax format (TIFF) instead of using Fax Voip Virtual Printer. To configure Direct Converting to Fax, see Convert to Fax Settings chapter of this user manual.

To send a fax (using Direct Converting to Fax)

1.     Click Start, point to Fax Voip T.38 Console, and then click Fax Voip Console.

2.     On the File menu, click New Fax. Or click the New Fax button on the Main tab of the Ribbon.

3.     Select the document you want to send as a fax (you should select the document of the type, for which Direct Converting to Fax is allowed according to your settings), then click Open. See also Sending Faxes from Fax Voip T.38 Console.

4.     In the Fax Voip T.38 Console Send Fax Wizard specify the fax recipient, add a cover page and configure additional fax options, see details in the Send a Fax with Fax Voip Virtual Printer chapter.

5.     Click Send button.

Notes

• The Direct Converting to Fax function not applied if user prints a document using the Fax Voip Virtual Printer.
• Keep in mind, that Send a Fax using Direct Converting feature can be used via Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).
• It’s recommended to use Direct Converting to Fax function with PDF files, especially if you use Mail to Fax function and PDF attachments.
