Fax Voip T.38 Modem Services Overview

When selecting the Run Fax Voip T.38 Modem as Windows service option, Fax Voip T.38 Modem installs the following Windows Services:

Fax Voip T.38 Modem (Fax Voip T.38 Modem service)

The basic service, which is responsible for starting the SIP/H.323/ISDN CAPI 2.0 client and for all operations with faxes. It is started under the Local System account.

Fax Voip T.38 Modem Management (Fax Voip T.38 Modem Management service)

This service is only responsible for an auxiliary mechanism to forcibly Restore SIP Registration. It is started under the Local System account.

Fax Voip T.38 Modem MsFax Mail (Fax Voip T.38 Modem Mail to Fax - Microsoft Fax service)

This service is responsible for Mail to Fax - Microsoft Fax functionality. Also used to call Outgoing Routing Methods (Microsoft Fax). If you do not use these functions, the service is not started. This service should be configured to be started under regular user account, see Configure Mail to Fax system as Windows Service.

• You should not manually install, remove or configure Fax Voip T.38 Modem services using Microsoft Management Console. This can lead to unpredictable program behavior. To configure services, see To configure Fax Voip T.38 Modem as a Windows Service.
