Dialing a phone number from the command line or shortcut

Parent Previous Next

You can dial a phone number from the command line or shortcut. It is enough to specify the target number as a parameter to FaxVoipPhone.exe. Can be used by third-party programs or scripts. If you have installed Fax Voip Softphone at default location ("C:\Program Files (x86)\FaxVoip Softphone") the command line should be as shown below:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\FaxVoip Softphone\FaxVoipPhone.exe" 17778781781

If the Fax Voip softphone is already started, it immediately dials the specified phone number. If the softphone is not started, it will be started, and then the specified phone number will be dialed.

The following picture shows how to create windows shortcut that places voice calls to the specified telephone number.
