To configure Voice Data Format

1.     In the Venta Fax main window, on the toolbar click Settings.

2.     In the Program settings window, click Voice in the TreeView, and then click General.

3.     Venta Fax configures modem Voice Data Format at the time of auto-detecting of the Voice Command Set for your modem (see previous chapter). The default Voice Data Format for Fax Voip T.38 Modem is the PCM/8bits/8000Hz.

4.     To change Voice Data Format, select another format in the Modem voice data format list. Fax Voip T.38 Modem supports PCM/8bits/8000Hz, A-LAW/8bits/8000Hz and uLAW/8bits/8000Hz Voice Data Formats in terms of Venta Fax.

5.     Click <Apply> button to save settings.

Notes

• 16-bit linear PCM at 8000 Hz format is also supported by Fax Voip T.38 Modem. To use this Voice Data Format with Venta Fax, you should manually select V.253 Voice Command Set on the Modem - Properties page, in the Voice area, in the Command set field. And then select PCM/16bits/8000Hz on the Voice - General page as described in the current chapter.
