To send a fax (or voice message) to phone number with extension you need to enter the number in a special format.
<Number> W <DTMF>
<Number> - phone number
'W' - to wait until the call answered
<DTMF> - the 'DTMF' part after the call answer, a string of the characters:
'0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * # A B C D ,'
The comma character (‘ , ‘) is used to add a pause of 2 seconds between the DTMF tones and can be used any number of times anywhere in the dial sequence. Note also that in the case of bad SIP signaling (the 'connected' message received, but the actual connection is not yet established) the ‘ W ‘ modifier may work incorrectly.
Example #1: sending a fax to the phone number with extension.
To send a fax to extension '100' of the number '13601234567', in the fax number field of your fax program, enter:
13601234567W,100
Example #2: sending a fax using a calling card to call.
Suppose that in the manual mode, you need to do the following:
1) Dial Access Number '14251234567'.
2) Select language (press '1' to select 'English'), then press pound key ('#').
3) Enter PIN-code '112233445566', then press pound key ('#').
4) Enter phone number '13601234567' where to send the fax, then press '#'.
5) Send a fax manually
To do this automatically using, for example, Windows Fax and Scan, simply type the following sequence of characters in the To box:
14251234567W,1#,112233445566#,,13601234567#
Fax Voip T.38 Modem will automatically dial the phone access number, wait for a connection, select language, enter PIN, dial the destination fax number and send the fax. Pauses between sets of DTMF sequences will be provided by entering commas. The number of commas should be chosen empirically.
