To adjust fax resolution

Parent Previous Next

You can select the resolution for faxes that you send. Generic quality names, such as Normal (200x200 dpi) or Draft (200x100 dpi), are given to resolution options that are graded in dots per inch (dpi). These resolution options will not necessarily provide the quality of detail that you see when composing a document in a Windows application.

To specify fax printer settings:

1.     Switch to Search pane, type control panel, and then click Control Panel. In the Control Panel click Hardware and Sound, and then click Devices and Printers. Right click on the Fax printer. On the context menu, click Printing preferences. Alternatively, you can click Fax Printer Properties in the Fax Voip FSP Control Panel, in the Main tab of the Ribbon and then click Preferences....

2.     In the Fax Printing Preferences window, choose a standard resolution from the Image quality list.

Note, that when you create and send a fax from a Windows application, the application may use individual settings that take precedence over the global printer properties. For this reason, we recommend you to check the printer resolution just before printing.
