Outbound Proxy Settings

Parent Previous Next

Note that if you use this option, your proxy settings will be automatically applied to all SIP Registrations and to all outgoing SIP calls except for those cases when you specify another Outbound Proxy for SIP registration or in Outgoing VOIP Call Routing rule for your call. Messy use of this option could lead to problems of dialing (for outgoing calls) and to the problems of hearing and transmitting of the fax (for incoming calls). Thus, we do not recommend using of Default Outbound Proxy for inexperienced users. If your SIP provider requires (or supports) the using of Outbound Proxy function, we recommend that you specify the proxy settings in SIP Registration and Outgoing VOIP Call Routing rules associated with this provider. However, this option may be useful for advanced users. For example, if you do not want to use the SIP Registration function, you can enter authorization data to the server of your SIP provider here (username, password, sip-server address) and use these settings for making an outgoing call via your provider.
